100% Australian grown, Almonds, blanched, then shaved into thin flakes. Simple and delicious. They have a delicious almond nut flavour, creamy colour and firm texture. They give any dish a healthy crunch and make a great addition to cereals, trail mixes, baked goods and sweet or savoury recipes.
How to use:
Flaked almonds are ready to eat as are. You can add them to a range of recipes including trail mixes, granola, muesli, porridge, yoghurt or your favourite smoothie bowl. You can also use them in muesli bars, seed and nut bread, biscuits, muffins, traditional fruit cake recipes and cake decorating. Toasted almond flakes are a perfect crunchy topping for banana splits, ice cream sundaes, puddings, cake decorating, salads, stir-fries and hotpots. Try lightly toasting them in a dry pan, on low heat, to add extra colour and toasty flavour.
