    Recipe & Usage

    Homebrew Cider Recipe

    Ingredients:
5 liters of apple juice (100% pure, no preservatives)
1 packet of cider yeast (or wine yeast)
1 cup of sugar (optional, for higher alcohol content)
    Airlock
    Demijohn (5-liter capacity)

    Instructions:
    1. Sterilise Equipment: Clean and sterilise your demijohn, airlock, and any tools you'll use to avoid contamination.

    2. Pour Apple Juice: Pour the apple juice into the demijohn, leaving some space at the top (about 10cm). This allows for foam during fermentation.

    3. Add Sugar (Optional): If you want a stronger cider, dissolve the sugar in a bit of warm apple juice and then add it to the demijohn.

    4. Add Yeast: Sprinkle the cider yeast into the demijohn. There's no need to stir; the yeast will activate on its own.

    5. Fit the Airlock: Place the airlock on top of the demijohn. The airlock will release gases while preventing oxygen from entering.

    6. Fermentation: Store the demijohn in a cool, dark place (around 18-22°C) for 1-2 weeks. Fermentation will slow when the bubbling stops.

    7. Bottling: Once fermentation is complete, siphon the cider into sterilised bottles, leaving sediment behind. Cap and store in a cool place for 2 weeks for a secondary fermentation if you want carbonation.

    Enjoy your homemade cider!

    Sustainability

Choose a sustainable way to brew and distill by using glass flagons. Unlike plastic containers, these glass vessels are reusable, reducing waste and promoting a more eco-friendly approach to your brewing process. Glass also ensures that your brews maintain their original flavor without leaching any unwanted chemicals, making it a healthier choice for you and the environment.
