Homemade Popcorn
Ingredients:
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tablespoons Rice Bran oil (or any high-heat oil)
Salt to taste
Butter (optional, but recommended!)
Instructions:
Heat the oil: Pour the oil into a large, heavy-bottomed pot with a lid. Place it over medium heat and add a few popcorn kernels to test the temperature.
Pop the kernels: When the test kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels in an even layer. Cover with the lid.
Shake the pot: As the kernels start popping, gently shake the pot occasionally to keep them from burning. Continue until the popping slows down to about 2 seconds between pops.
Season and serve: Remove from heat, carefully take off the lid, and season with salt. Melt some butter and drizzle it over if desired.
Enjoy your warm, freshly popped popcorn!
