STORE MANAGER
We seek a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our boutique bulk food store in Elwood. You will oversee all aspects of operations, customer service, and team management. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards, driving sales, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring an outstanding customer shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
- Manage day-to-day store operations efficiently, ensuring smooth functioning of all processes.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Implement and uphold store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and optimise the layout and merchandising of products for an attractive and organised store environment.
- Customer Service:
- Foster a customer-centric culture by delivering exceptional service and promptly resolving customer inquiries or issues.
- Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through engagement and personalised service.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to improve offerings and overall experience.
- Sales and Performance:
- Drive sales growth through effective marketing strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques.
- Analyse sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.
- Set and achieve sales targets while maintaining profitability.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Schedule and manage staffing levels efficiently while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor and control expenses, budgets, and overall financial performance.
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality and customer experience.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop financial forecasts and strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (2 years) in retail management, preferably in a bulk food or grocery setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management and financial analysis.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with bulk food industry trends and practices.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
