To 450g of Gram's ANZAC Biscuits mix, add 150g butter, 3 tbsp golden syrup, ½ tsp bicarb soda
Preheat oven to 170C. Place the mix in a bowl.
In a small saucepan place 3 tbl spoons of golden syrup and 150g of butter (or alternative) and stir over low heat until the butter melts completely.
In a mug, mix ½ tsp of bicarb soda with 1 tbl spoon water then add to the golden syrup and butter mixture. Remove from heat as it will begin bubble as you stir together.
Pour warm wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on baking tray lined with baking paper. Press down on the tops to flatten slightly.
For crunchy biscuits, bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown or 10 minutes for chewy biscuits.
Enjoy!
