Cold Drip Coffee
Ingredients:
100g coarsely ground Tempest blend coffee beans
1 liter cold filtered water
Ice cubes (optional)
Milk or sweetener (optional)
Equipment:
Cold drip coffee maker (alternatively, you can use a large jar and a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth)
Instructions:
Prepare the Coffee Grounds:
Use 100g of coarsely ground Tempest blend coffee beans. The coarser grind helps to extract the flavors slowly and evenly.
Set Up the Cold Drip Maker:
If you have a cold drip coffee maker, place the coffee grounds in the filter section. If using a jar, place the grounds directly into the jar.
Add Water:
Slowly pour 1 liter of cold filtered water over the coffee grounds, ensuring they are evenly saturated. If using a jar, stir gently to ensure all the grounds are wet.
Drip or Steep:
If using a cold drip coffee maker, allow the water to drip through the coffee grounds over 8-12 hours. If using a jar, cover and let it steep in the refrigerator for the same amount of time.
Filter the Coffee (if using a jar):
After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean container.
Serve:
Pour the cold drip coffee over ice cubes for a refreshing drink. You can enjoy it black or add milk and sweetener to taste.
Store:
Any leftover cold drip coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
